This painting titled "Fishing Boats Entering Calais Harbour" from The Frick Collection is a work Europen artist Joseph Mallord William Turner .Date of creature this painting is 1803 year. The picture painted on canvas by oil. Its size 29 x 38 3/4 in. (73.7 x 98.4 cm)
This paiting sends us in July 1802, when Turner made his first voyage to the Continent, during the Peace of Amiens. He recorded his arrival at Calais in a small sketchbook and used the sketches to develop two oil paintings of this scene: Calais Pier at the National Gallery, London, and The Frick Collection’s Fishing Boats Entering Calais Harbor. The turbulent water contrasts with the blue sky among the dark clouds, and the heeling boat at the center of the composition, features a crew member wearing a bright red cap. I chose this painting, because it express my mood now. Roughed sea, dark colours, storm clouds this all express alarm, sense of forthcoming collapse.
